About Us

Chef Matt Riga and his wife Natalie have always dreamed of owning their own restaurant. Although Matt is a Trentonian born and raised, the couple spent over two years living on the picturesque Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The west coast influenced the pair's culinary lifestyles as they began to shop at local farmers markets and grow their own food in a community garden. They also explored the art of craft beer and local wine which developed into the passion for food and beverages that they currently possess.

After moving back to Trenton to be closer to family, the couple has worked at Tomasso's Casual Dining, where they learned the intricacies of the industry first hand from local entrepreneurs. Matt and Natalie are now proud to make their dream a reality with The Port Bistro Pub.

Timberwolf Gallery

Doug ComeauTimberwolf Gallery has been in operation in Trenton since 2001 and is proud to present the work of realist artist Doug Comeau and specialise in the unique and innovative art of conservation framing.

Doug owns Timberwolf Gallery where you can view his originals and limited editions.  Many consider Doug to be one of Canada's foremost pencil artists as he continues to set new artistic standards through the medium of graphite and coloured pencil. His work brings two thoughts to mind; it's unbelievable and how does he do it.  People are fascinated by the realistic quality this self-taught artist achieves in the medium of graphite and coloured pencil. Hours and hours of shading and blending grey tones and colours go into rendering each detailed composition. Doug is known for his innovative style and technique on a wide variety of subject matter and his ability to bring it to life.

Water colour artist Rose Brown has a tremendous amount of experience in the custom framing trade and together we take pride, as an artist run gallery, in our ability to present unique and innovative framing combinations.  Collectively with your input and desires, we will help you to create the package your work deserves. We think that every composition deserves special attention and take the time to educate you in the framing process.

Timberwolf Gallery has one of the largest frame, mat and glass selections in the area. We can offer you a choice of many options and styles to make your treasures, whether art or memorabilia, look their very best.

We specialize in helping you make your unique framing ideas a reality.  Here are a few examples of what Timberwolf can offer you; Museum quality framing, various levels of conservation framing, all types of fabric mounting and framing, shadow box and object framing; medal mounting, Plak and canvas mounting, shrink wrapping, an incredible amount of advice on just about any art related topic, a commission from artist Doug Comeau and most of all our great customer service.

Morning FrostWe look forward to your visit whether personally at the gallery, or electronically on our web site. www.timberwolfgallery.ca  Either way you will have our full attention and guarantee that we'll provide you with our best service.

Tomasso's Casual Dining

TomassosWhen you eat at Tomasso's you become part of a Trenton institution. The family-run restaurant has been a hit since it first opened as Jim's Pizzeria in 1970.

Still under the same family management Jim's Pizzeria was reincarnated as Tomasso's in 1999. Individually sourced ingredients and wines ensure the highest quality meets with casual prices. While maintaining its devotion to the fresh ingredients and homemade fare that's won the hearts of locals and travelers alike, the Italian style restaurant has since expanded its menu and changed to a downtown location on the Trent River.

The Tomasso's owners believe happy employees make happy customers and the joy of the working team is shared in the dining room. Tomasso's customers are treated like personal guests and the workers are part of the family. Two Tomasso's servers recently celebrated 25 years with the restaurant.

Tomasso's Casual Waterfront Dining offers a European experience in the middle of downtown Trenton. With the restaurant's soaring ceilings and hand-painted wall frescos, you will experience city style in rustic Mediterranean comfort.

Tomasso's family-friendly atmosphere and seasonal outdoor patio make it one of the city's favourite restaurants.
