Another new store opens up on Front Street, Trenton
Trenton, ON: There is a new place to shop in downtown Trenton with the opening of another new specialty retail shop called Simplee Sweet. The store is owned by Alisha Morgan, a young entrepreneur who has made a significant investment in the downtown by opening up her beautiful new store. "My store is full of beautiful product and I wanted to create a shopping experience that spoke of elegance and pampering from the moment shoppers walked through my door," says Alisha.
With yet another new retail store opening up in downtown Trenton it is becoming apparent that the Revitalization of downtown Trenton is on the right track. "It is amazing to see the kind of investment new businesses are making in the downtown," says Chamber manager Suzanne Andrews. "The Opening of new lingerie and clothing store is great for local shoppers and proof that the City's Retail Recruitment Strategy is working."
Simplee Sweet carries lingerie that caters to all women along with pajamas, men's underwear and bras in sizes a to k. There are also maternity and mastectomy bras by special order and clients are encouraged to come in for a bra fitting to make sure they are buying the right size bras for their figure. Along with undergarments Simplee Sweet has a unique line of dresses that are styled after the 1940's and 1950's and locally made jewellery and scarves. The store carries special lines of clothing including a Canadian line called Blush, Pleasure State, Curvy Kate, Saxx and Stop Staring.
There are many services that are offered at specialty shops that you just can't get at the big box stores and Simplee Sweet is no exception. Customers can arrange for private shopping times, private parties which are great for wedding parties or a girls night out, a gift registry and a client data base of sizes which is a great help if men want to come in and shop for that special someone. Vivacious
New clothing store catering to the above-average woman
The run on new retailers looking to open in downtown Trenton is not over yet, with the opening of Vivacious, a clothing store for the above-average woman. The store is owned by one of our newest entrepreneurs in Quinte West, Hope Stone. "After losing 110 lbs myself and getting frustrated because there was nothing locally that catered to the plus size woman I decided to start my own business," says Hope. "After years of having to travel to find the clothing I wanted to wear I am excited to bring this style of clothing to downtown Trenton."
Vivacious carries ladies clothing in sizes 14 and above, in a couple of specialty clothing lines from California, Igigi and Kiyonna. The store will also stock accessories, jewellery, shoes and wide calf boots which are available for women of all sizes. "We have wanted a ladies clothing store in downtown Trenton for a long time now," says Chamber Manager Suzanne Andrews. "I would like to encourage all women to check out this store regardless of their dress size and see the entire line of products available."
Vivacious, which is located at 103 Dundas St. West is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5 pm, with late nights on Thursday and Friday until 8pm. Scrub Town is a new business that opened August 3 in downtown Trenton at 35A Dundas Street behind Pizza Pizza and catering to the growing needs of health care professionals in the Quinte Region. Owners Hollie Rodd and Jenn Evans have both worked at Crown Ridge nursing home as PSWs for over ten years and bring a lot of knowledge with them on the needs of health care workers.
Scrub Town carries a wide range of uniforms with sizes from xxs to 5XL we also carry men uniform and chef wear. The name brands we carry are Mobb, Baby, Phat, Dickies, Sketcher and Cherokee, we also sell stethoscopes and blood pressure kit and other accessories. We can also do custom orders from the many different catalogs in store.

About Us
Chef Matt Riga and his wife Natalie have always dreamed of owning their own restaurant. Although Matt is a Trentonian born and raised, the couple spent over two years living on the picturesque Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The west coast influenced the pair's culinary lifestyles as they began to shop at local farmers markets and grow their own food in a community garden. They also explored the art of craft beer and local wine which developed into the passion for food and beverages that they currently possess.
After moving back to Trenton to be closer to family, the couple has worked at Tomasso's Casual Dining, where they learned the intricacies of the industry first hand from local entrepreneurs. Matt and Natalie are now proud to make their dream a reality with The Port Bistro Pub.

The purpose of Bibles for Missions is to raise money for the Bible League of Canada, to provide bible-based education to the people of Cambodia and India. People receive the word of God and are able to read, write and do math at a Grade 5 level in their language.

Tomasso's Casual Dining
When you eat at Tomasso's you become part of a Trenton institution. The family-run restaurant has been a hit since it first opened as Jim's Pizzeria in 1970.
